Who should I pick to be my bridesmaids? After you get engaged, your first thoughts are, what date will be the best for us and our family.  Then you proceed to think, I have always wanted an outdoor wedding, where should we have our wedding? Locations add to the fun of your wedding. After all the hub-bub of when and where, you ask yourself, who?   Who should I choose to be my bridesmaids?

Bridesmaids are usually chosen based on how close certain people are to you.  Maybe a childhood friend or and very close cousin.   In my opinion I think the people you choose should make you, the bride, happy, laugh, and have your back.  After all, this is the most important day of your life and you will need the people who can detour stress, fears and create an easy going environment during your wedding day. After 13 years of shooting weddings, I pretty much have seen and heard it all.  It makes me cringe to hear after the wedding that you and a certain bridesmaid or MOH are no longer friends based on events that happened at your wedding. Choosing your bridesmaids needs to be like choosing your girls that will go to war for you.  That being said, enjoy the images below.

Project Cuddle has been a non profit organization that I’ve been working with for the passed 8 years.  Project Cuddle represents a small group of people devoted to preventing the abandonment of unwanted babies throughout the nation. In 1996, Debbe Magnusen started Project Cuddle in her garage. Over the past 15 years Debbe has helped save just under 700 babies by providing free care and protection for the expecting mothers. With the help of Oprah, Ellen, and several television networks word about Project Cuddle is spreading and more babies are being saved from abandonment and many times, certain death. This year they had a fundraiser dinner at the Anaheim White House. The dinner was hosted by Mr John Stamos and feature Chef Bruno Serrato. This years event was great Images were published in the Modern Luxury Riviera Magazine.  Here are some of the images of the great evening.

Daisy likes Beretta and Rob likes his Glocks. Sometimes two people that work together can have amazing chemistry with each other. These two are no exception. These two met at the range after they were assigned to the lanes next to each other. After trying each other’s pistols, they found that they have much more in common than their weekly range trips.

Several rounds and a couple years down the road, these two have decided to get married. Their Wedding taking place in San Juan Capistrano, these two could not have found a better to venue for their wedding. After getting ready, Rob and Daisy elected to have a first look right before their ceremony.

First Looks are a great way to get romantic photos before the wedding ceremony. It does break tradition, but don’t let that fool you. The anticipation, the romance, and all the emotions are all still there. A first look is one of the few times during a wedding that a couple can take some time to slow down and appreciate each other before their day goes from 0-60. During this time a groom has a chance to appreciate the details in her dress, her hair, and smell her perfume before it fades, even her lovely smile. While the bride can embrace him before anybody else can and inspect the little details that makes his suit his, it could be his cuff links, his tie, and in this case, the pistol he chose to carry to his wedding. While breaking tradition is generally frowned upon, it’s a great idea to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Brandon and Jennifer met working together at Lascari’s. She was 16 and he was 20. They Considered dating, but since she was still so young and in high school and were both at different places in their lives, they both decided it would be best for them to just be friends. They stayed friends and continued working with each other. After she graduated high school they started hanging out a lot more. On New Years 2005 they were both at a NYE party and both didnt have anyone to share a kiss with at midnight, so when the clock hit 12, they decided, “what the hell” and went for the kiss. They have been together ever since then.
On April of 2010, Brandon planned a birthday party for Jennifer down in Newport Beach with her my friends. They all arranged to go on a Yacht around Newport harbor and celebrate. Mid way through dancing and drinking Brandon asked Jennifer to come up to the top of the Yacht. He seemed really nervous and she was very curious to why he was acting so weird. He then told me how much he loved her and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in front of all our friends. It was a very special moment. Jennifer was completely shocked! He had to ask her a second time because she thought it was all some sort of mean joke. She was caught completely off guard. She  obviously said yes and the rest is history!!!

Little did these two know that the restaurant they worked for will one day be catering their wedding, but that’s for a later topic, today we’re allowing you to be part of Brandon and Jennifer’s Fullerton Engagement Session.

We photographed Brandon and Jennifer at the SOCO district in the downtown fullerton. Later in the afternoon the background and cold weather brought out their affection and which made for some very sweet and romantic photos.

Brandon and Jennifer will be getting married at the Fullerton Arboretum.
