Some of you may remember a recent post from Peter and Yolanda’s beautiful engagement session. Well their wedding did not disappoint either, they had their ceremony at the lovely St John of God Church in Norwalk.
With a church full of family watching eagerly, Peter and Yolanda shared their first kiss. With what used to be two families, now a single entity, cheering behind them, they entered a vintage 1930′s Packard that whisked them away to Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first photos as husband and wife.
Mission San Juan Capistrano’s beaten stone walls, aged doors, and long history became the perfect setting for a romantic session between the newlyweds.
Their reception took place at another historical gem, The Adobe Restaurant. My favorite event of the night was when Peter took the live band’s guitar and played a song he wrote while he was away in the Navy. Thinking of her, Peter wrote the song to keep him sane during the lonely nights away from home.
I hope you enjoyed looking at Peter and Yolanda’s photos, I had a blast being part of their first day as husband and wife.

The Band Was Awesome. They kept the party happening and were great MCs. Thanks Jukebox the Band!

Josh and Lisa met in college, with a long relationship, this engagement was overdue. Thanks to Lisa for having the patience for waiting for her Prince Charming.
Josh and Lisa came to me from a previous wedding that I photographed. I shot Sommer and Scott’s wedding in Fall of ’07. Josh was ordained just for Sommer and Scott’s wedding.
We met in the afternoon at the Santa Monica Pier just before a special time photographers like to call “Magic Hour,” but something was happening that was even more special than the way the sun was setting. I was able to see the love between Josh and Lisa. Sharing this evening with them made shooting their wedding even more special, I got to know them for who they are. People don’t realize how engagement shoots are, it’s a time set for the me and the couple to bond. It’s where I learn little secrets about the bride and the groom, we get to talking about the wedding day’s details, and it’s a time for brides and grooms to get to know me as a person.
Josh and Lisa had their wedding at the beautiful La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes, California. Be sure to check back to view their amazing wedding.

Yolanda and Peter had us shoot their engagement session in Orange County. I loved the peaceful feel of this location. The wide open meadows and warm lighting helped create some very romantic Images.
Peter and Yolanda have known each other for quite some time. Coming from two totally different backgrounds Yolanda being from a huge family and Peter from a smaller family, making them fit each other like a glove.
As the sun began to set, the birds in the trees became quieter and quieter. Which allowed the couple to enjoy the sunset together as Peter whispered sweet nothings to Yolanda.
Peter and Yolanda plan to say their vows in a Catholic Church with a traditional Catholic ceremony. Their reception is to take place at the beautiful El Adobe Restaurant, in San Juan Capistrano, Ca. Please check back for their amazing wedding!

So a few weeks back we had the opportunity to work with the one and only “Danika” again. This time it was their wedding and let me tell you, we rocked it! Shooting weddings at the beautiful Rancho Las Lomas is always a treat. There are tigers, bobcats, Zebras and plenty of spots to photograph this gorgeous couple. Monika was one of the most beautiful brides I’ve seen, aside from my wife of course!
Dan was cool and calm as can be with his boys! I think the Johnny walker helped…
Here are some of my favorites.
